Here, there and everywhere…

I’m just wondering why constants are constant, that too perfectly too
well…especially in physics…do we see a hand of God here…silently
watching for us to figure it out…take for example the speed of
light, if that were to vary over space and time then all of us would
be aging differently, travelling differently and reaching different
destinations even though we didn’t have any such intention to…what
if the gravitational force constant were to vary, everything would get
sucked in various directions which in turn would dislodge the
equilibrium existing in the universe leading to a collapse…and then
if the charge constant were to change then the Coulomb’s law would
break down, fundamental particles would cease to exist and carbon a
vital ingredient in the dish of life would be missing and I don’t
think we would be as good as we are without carbon…we may exist as
different beings, not that we cannot exist, but it would be a world of
chaos and all theories will be based on variations and constant
change…physics would be entirely different…me and you would be
totally different…if this world of constant change I feel
certain things are best left constant as created by a greater force

lights flashing, band doigntheir great gig, crowd cheering…some
great tunes being belted out by the band…the band seemed to have
each one enthralled….the world of music has this power to charm
everyone…lift us beings into an elevated state…with everyone
letting their hair loose and swinging with their music there was this
guy who stood beside me calm and composed and very still looking at
the whole scene…it was as if the whole energy was non existent to
him…after staring at each other for quite a while I gestured and
asked whether he didn't like it…se just scribbled something on a
scrap of paper…it said…if seeing all of you in such an elevated
state is so great, I just wonder how it would feel to hear it…

When you ask for happiness, God doesn’t give you lots of happiness but he gives you an opportunity to create happiness…something like that is what Morgan Freeman says in Evan Almighty and oh boy does that make sense…it seems so much more practical to visualise that a greater being exists to bless you with something but with giving us an opportunity of do that something, an opportunity to create…its just one of those things which i can never happen to forget…

today i happened to catch up with one of my very old friend…we were having a great conversation for quite sometime…and suddenly he reminded me of Deja Vu! and boing…now i’m having a time warp of sorts…read those old posts once again and i found the comments had so much to convey…thinking to posting them up in the blog…each one of them valuable…to keep me going…thanks a lot…

We Indians are quite a starved lot in terms of electricity…summer
and no monsoon means long power outages the so called Load
Shedding…we are just too comfy with this situation…we Indians have
managed to become what we are today working with very little
electricity…imagine the wonders the lot of us could create with an
uninterruptable source of electricity…life in the US stops when
there is an outage for just 2 minutes…everything comes to a grinding
halt…manufacturing, service every other activity ceases to
exist…but out here everything just works normal…only the AC
doesn't work…

What if we had a smarter more efficient electricity grid…one that
could draw patterns over a period of time…stop supplies to certain
section of the city at a certain time…most of the houses are
minimally occupied between 9 to 6…what if we had a mechanism that
wouldn't trigger minimal electricity to flow to houses during this
period…we will be able to go a long way saving power…get a sensor
in everybody's energy meter to learn patterns of electricity usage
because there are several leaks in the domestic wiring circuitry…the
sensor learns patterns of usage and transmits this onto the grid…the
grid here which is a master executioner starts diverting electricity
to a particular sensor using more energy…flows can be diverted,
wastages minimized…I just dream of a better way to live…
